Business Account
Overview
The IPC Business Account is designed as an alternative, or as a supplement, to regular "current accounts" at banks and features lower service charges and greater rates of return.
Benefits/Features:
- Convenient access via cheque, telephone, ABM, and the Internet
- Free monthly statement
- Pre-authorized debits and credits easily arranged
- Reasonable fees for services used
- Control of funds - anytime, anywhere
There are two interest rate tiers, one for balances $2,000 and over and a lower tier for balances under $2,000. Interest is calculated on the closing daily balance and is paid monthly. The rate on the lower tier is 1%. The rate on balances $2,000 and over is adjusted based on market conditions. Effective May 17th, 2004, this rate is 2.25%, but it may change without notice.
The fee schedule allows for some transactions free of service charge every month regardless of the minimum balance. Of course, the higher the minimum monthly balance, the more transactions that are free.
The IPC Business Account allows you to write cheques, access cash from ABMs and pay bills over the phone or the Internet.
Some terms and conditions apply. See your Investment Planning Counsel ™ Associate for more details and to apply for the account.
